The EOC 2500 End Outlet is the terminating outlet at the end of a DVB-C coax run and uses the existing coaxial cable for cable TV (DVB-C) and network data at the same time. The built-in 75 Ω termination terminates the run; the outlets are networked automatically via Ethernet over Coax.

Anywhere a DVB-C coaxial cabling is already in place and a gigabit network is to be added — without chiselling, without dirt, without new cable routes: fast and inexpensive.
Because the existing coaxial cable is reused, no new wall and ceiling penetrations are needed. Existing fire compartments and fire-stop seals remain intact — a clear advantage in hospitals, hotels and retirement homes, where subsequent penetrations would have to be re-sealed at great expense.
